Delta Dental Foundation Gift

At the Ohio State University’s Post College Assembly on Friday, May 9th the Delta Dental Foundation of Michigan, Indiana and Ohio made a surprise announcement about its support of the College of Dentistry’s H.O.M.E. Coach. Mrs. Nancy Hostetler, Sr. Vice President of the Delta Dental Foundation, announced a three year commitment of $450,000, which amounts to the largest gift ever given in the Foundation’s 28 year history. The news was received with a standing ovation by the more than 350 alumni and friends in attendance.

This gift will help fund the College’s outreach to children in the Columbus Public School system who do not have access to dental care. Staffed by College of Dentistry students in partnership with Children’s Hospital, the Coach is a great success story for the College, both filling a tremendous need in our community and enhancing the educational experience of our students. A "back to school" media event will be staged in August to unveil the Delta Dental logo on the Coach.
